Im not looking for Linn wescott book or a John armstrong book, well maybe I am. I need a book with a good selection of track plans for small spaces, I've been thinking about Iain rices "Small smart and practical track plans"

    Any suggestions?

Ian Rice's book would be my first choice.

get the book "building a Railroad with personality" - the step by step building of the Jerome and Southwestern by John Olsen (Kalmbach publ.).

This was one of the best 4x8 ho RR's Model Railroader did as a project, and included an urban extension off to the side.
