I was down in L.A. harbor today checking out a refrigeration unit at a seafood company. On the way there I saw a Harbor Belt Line u23b in black with either white or silver zebra stripes. I model Santa Fe in the 50's so I really took notice. I'm just wondering if the unit is an ex Santa Fe that was left over in zebra stripes? I doubt it, I think S.F. had gone to the blue & yellow "cigar band" scheme by the time they got u23bs, and I think all were painted into blue & yellow war bonnets before they left. It sure was nice to see a zebra, though.
