I am about to donate a bunch of old computers to the local Hi-School. If it does not take a lot of computing power to run this new remote controle equipment I may keep one.

I thought you needed a computer hooked up with the remote controled engines. To program the running so that you would not get colisions and the like.

Hi Goat, If you are talking about DCC you don't need a computer to control the trains, its all built in,processor, decoder and etc.

MR just ran a series on how to use a computer to control signals, turnouts etc. You might want to check it out.
