I replace my piston and sleeve every 6-8 gallons (once compression is gone) and I've had my engine for alittle over a year and a half.

Usually a nitro engine lasts about 30 hours, 40 if you take care of it...

I'm not sure because I have only ran 2 gallons threw mine. But my local hobby shop told me that my traxxas 2.5 will only last 3 gallons before I have to put a new p/s in it. They also told me that I would only be able to rebuild it 3 times. Is this true?
