I thought about this when building the Saab Gripen... The thing with modern jet fighters is that you can't really model the canopy window in one piece, and dividing it into sepearate pieces leaves white marks on the joins. Is there any way around this?

If you are a stickler for making everything primarily out of card, then my words will be useless.

If you like to model and have FUN...then take the packaging from a package of pens for instance, you know the kind of packaging I am talking about...cardboard back, thick molded plastic, item in between...
the plastic packaging frequently will be shaped to fit around the point of the pen, sometimes the shape is EXACT!!!

You may have to shop around for the right shape...go to toy stores and look at the packaging.

Wow, they sound so simple and so useful! I'm going to try both of these ideas! Cheers and sorry for not searching the forum beforehand.
