    Hi all

This will be my next build, but I will take a bit of time with this one.

If any of you aircraft boffins have any links or photos of the wheel wells and engine intakes and vents??

The model has a lot of detail for the wheels and struts but the wheel well detail is just printed on. It would also be nice to be able to add some detail to the engines if possible.
I would like to add as much detail to this bird as possible as the model has only three sheets of parts.

    Thanks for the help

    Rob

    Rob,

H.P. Dabrowski's book, "Horten Flying Wind, In World War II, The History & Development of the Ho 229", translated from German by David Johnston, Schiffer Military History, Volume 47, 52 pages, 1991 is a good reference to one of WWII's more fasicinating subjects. The only existing copy now resides with the Smithsonian's National Air & Space Museum at last report in storage at their Silver Hill, Maryland facitlity. Hope this helps.

    Best regards, Gil

    Hi Gil

I hope you have the alarm codes and the number of a good locksmith, I don't want you to get caught until you post it to me

The only example of the Go229 is in storage awaiting restoration as you say.

I wonder if the USAAF flew the Go229 after the war as part of the captured aircraft evaluation program?

    Sory Rob,
This is not my bird I just see it a few time ago in the polish forum Kartonwork. This photo was in the album of someone that I think it is a model designer.
I will try to see from who was this album (but only was there this picture).

    Best Regards
    Tino
