Looks like a project based roughly on the Hammond Lumber Co./Arcata & Mad River No. 12, a 2-6-6-2 articulated built by Baldwin in 1929. 30" gauge isn't exactly prototype, but it does look like an exceedingly neato beastie that I'd be proud to own--looks like all it needs is a paint job!

Such creatures were used late in the era of steam logging--I think that one ran until 1959 on the A&MR.

With a little bit of paint and some weathering this should look right at home. The price is right too.

a few notes about her. she has 30 inch drivers is 57 foot from end to end. The tender is a MDC cut down to fit, and with a air tank added.

How about MDC/Roundhouses's HOn3 consolidation. I know someone's bought them up but the parts should still be available.

I think i may stick with this one and try to add to it and make it look better. The MDC cab is way too big, both too wide and too long.
