(I started this thread on another forum.)
How many of you have a local layout tour?
Have you had tours for a convention in your area?
I asked this on a British forum and I don't think they have them.
Many NMRA conventions (all the national and most regional) have tours. Even some divisional meets may have a small tour. At the national level, they have themed tours (narrow gauge layouts inspired by Paul Templar, Z layouts in guitar cases) and geographic tours (Brampton and Georgetown).
Bothe the Kitchener area and London (in Ontario) have a day each year where you can buy a map and drive yourself to a varied collection of homes and clubs to see layouts.

So, who else has a group that organizes a local tour every year?

With our local club, once a month we have "business meetings" at the home of one of our members. These invariably turn into "layout tours".

The club will be coming to my house the last Wednesday of June.

Some of the members of the Central Arizona Model Railroad Club have layout tours after the anual train show here in Prescott.

The L.A. division of the PSR has layout tours a few times a year, and we have two club members in the modular club who organise layout tours a few times every year. Unfortunately, I work Tuesday through Saturday, so I miss them.
