    Hi All:
I'm trying to build benchwork for my parents and spent about 20 mins trying to find what the minimum clearance from top-of-railhead to bottom-of-bridge structure for overcrossing in HO (one track crosses over another).

Rolling stock to be 1930's to 1950's.

    THANKS for any help!

    Welcome to The Gauge

My NMRA Standards gauge gives a measurement of 2 15/16" clearance, 2" side to side. Hope that helps.

Measure your tallest engine or rolling stock & add 1/2" :) That way if you have a "work car" like a crane - it'll fit under too :)

Be sure to measure the higest point while the item is sitting on a track with cork, so you can get a good measure of the height.
