I have a question regarding the building of the hiway for my layout.
I started with the blue syro for underlay then laid done my cork and track.
So now I want to build my hiway. What does everyone use to build it up.
Could you use cork and then it would be the same hieght, or could I use plaster and spread it in narrow stips, or sould I rip some 2x4's 1/4" thick and lay it down for the road, Problem then is the curves. It has been a while since my last post, the train is comming along fine and will post pictures soon.

If you can find a copy of the December 2007 Model Railroader, there is a suppliment on the subject of your post. You might be able to order a back issue. Its, titled---Workshop tips, Roads and Streets.
One article uses Woodland Scenics paving strips. Another uses Scultamold. The third article suggests styrene strips.
