Hello everyone,
This is a new account for me as I'm not sure what happened to my old account. I've been papercrafting for about five years now, and I used to frequent this site a lot because uhu02 has some pretty awesome models. I can proudly say that I am a published papercrafter. My work is in the "Build Your Own Paper Robots" book, though I only contributed two models, and I would hardly consider myself a very good designer (see Claudio Dias' models which are much better). I simply don't have much time for my own design work. I like to build other people's models. For instance, I'm working on a 1:1 scale T-800 Terminator endoskeleton. I was a submariner in the Navy that served on the Ohio class of submarines. I built the 688 Los Angeles class submarine on this site, but I'm still hoping someone will design an Ohio 730 class submarine (the 726-729 hulls are now SSGNs and not really Ohio class anymore). There are a wealth of free and awesome papercrafts out there, and the only model I have ever paid for is Digital Navy's USS Arizona which I'm planning on building in 1:100 scale. I'm an avid Transformers fan, and for the last 6 years, I've built my son a Transformers type costume out of cardboard, hot glue, velcro, spray paint, and zip-ties. I guess this is technically papercraft, since cardboard is simply a variant of paper. I have pictures if anyone would like. I designed and built a Soundwave transformer model for the PaperRobots site, but it never got truly published on his website, so I offered it out for free to anyone who wanted it. I've been working on a transformable Rumble G-1 cassette for some time, but haven't quite finished it. I've honestly only finished a few papercraft models, but have plenty in progress (a bad habit, I know). Anyway, I'm trying to get back my status here so that I can have access (I used to have it) to UHU02's downloads section. Any questions, please drop me a line!
