Just having a look at this thread, wow! @Rev Ian, you are gifted beyond measure. Brilliant models, love the Lanc, I'm too young to have any memories (or benefits) of parents serving in the RAF but have always been a WW2 buff. (Both granddads served in WW2, RN & Army)
And as another Christian (who, co-incidentally is planning to return to the UK ) welcome, my brother!

Here is a few pics of Los Angeles class sub I made about 18 months ago.
Hunted round a found a couple of pics of the bulid.
The card circular formers are picture mount singer sided baking board.
Really hard to cut, I blunted so many blades with that stuff.
I now use art backing board much easier.

Here a few build pics of the lanc. I've not created a thread as I've not a comprehensive track of the whole build.
I pre built and fixed an engine mount and then slipped the whole pre made engine nessel over it. Great way to get a great fit and clean join.
The undercarriage is sandwiched paperclip reinforced.

I really love those WWII British films. People call them propaganda, if capturing the heart and souks if a society under attack is propaganda, well then well done! Mrs. Miniver is also one of my favorites.

I have just started to make a Tiger 1 tank from paper replica.
