Ray those are some excellent photos well worth waiting for. your modelind and placement is very well planned out. I was wondering though why did you change the color of the ballast in the latest shots is it supposed to represent an older spur?

The dark ballast is used in the yard area and the feeder lines. The light ballast is used for the main line. I would have used the light everywhere, but had so much dark on hand, I felt I had to use it.

The track would look even better if you weather all the rails...if you would start doing that on your layout then you would be done in something like 2006! :D

At my age, I would never get it done, but it would look good.

    Ray,

Very nice. One question for you. What # switches are those leading to the engine house. They look like #4 and noticing the 6 axle diesels, these wouldn't negociate such a small radius.
Maybe the picture is an optical ellusion. What are the minimum radius on your mainline?

    Thanks,

    Marc

All the switches in the yard and feeder lines are #4. Never had a problem with any of my locos,
Minimum mainline radius is 16 inches

    Mike

I will post more pictures at a later date.

    # 4

    Thanks,

They do look more like the small Peco turnouts. Pictures do play games sometimes.

    Thanks,

    Marc

I sure enjoy your photos and your website for past couple days. Lots of track! The room shots are amazing. I got a couple ideas from your site. Nice detail on trailer park.

Mike.Have been looking at my pictures, and found nothing new as the layout is finished, if that is possible. Anything I post would just be a duplicate. What you see here and on my web page is it.
I have been fallowing your progress, makes me want to tare mine down and start over. You are doing a great gob and must be proud. Thanks.
