Hello, LEG here.
Just Joined, am a plastic modeler looking for specific techniques of translating paper diagrams to 3D that account for complex curves and faceting on modern stealth aircraft. Specifically the added area as dimensional functions necessary to translate three views to hard plastic.
Really impressed with the work I see.

It is hard to do compound curves in paper. It usually entails cutting parts very small to get the shape. If you paint your models, then it becomes easier as you can sand and fill, and paper becomes an excellent material for an armature. The pictures below are of my design (the model aspect, not the actual craft), all parts unroll, and made a nice model. (not available, sorry)
