I joined this community because i have a interest in sci fi related paper models. Most of them are star wars though.Im new at paper modeling and sometimes mess up my models and have to redo them, but i hope i will learn and gain experience. Also I came to this community to get templates(Ihope one day i can make my own ones).

Regards
Commando

Hi Commando330,
welcome to the site. everyone will give tips and stuff to help you along with building . the main thing i've learned ( and am still learning) is that i you mess up, go back and start again where you thing it started wrong. it's the fun in building these models that counts . looking at others builds helps to do some thing that you might think looks hard. no build is a bad build, each one looks good no matter what.

Hello and welcome to Zealot,

You have come to the right forum for all things SCI-FI! We have MANY members who are into SCI-FI (myself included).
Do not worry about being a "newbie" to the hobby. The members here are very kind and helpful. So never be afraid to post your work. When you start a build, I would like to encourage to you post a build thread. Build threads is a GREAT way to show off your skills as well as highlight the areas that you are having problems with that you may need help with.
If you have questions, comments, concerns, need help or advice. Please ask and we will do what we can to help you (or point you in the right direction).
Once again, welcome aboard. I am looking forward to seeing your work.

Hi and welcome from me as well! :)

I'm a SciFi nerd, too. My main playgrounds are "Battlestar Galactica" and "Buck Rogers". However, I do love "Star Wars", too (without it we wouldn't have got the other two ;) ).

The best about SW models is: they don't need to be perfect. If you mess something up you can easily disguise it as "battle damage". ;)

I'm looking forward to seeing your builds.

Have fun and enjoy! :)

I use Rhino 5.0 64 bit. I will teach anyone anything I can if they wish. Revell-Fan is also a Master Model designer. You have come to the right place. There are so many people here that can help you design. It just takes two to Tango!! :)

Revell-Fan is also a Master Model designer.
But only with SketchUp... Every time I read "Rhino" I have to think of this one:
