    This is my second model that I'll be posting in the Aircraft section of Zealot Hobby forums, and hopefully, this will turn out better than my M-50 Bounder.
    For those of you who do not know what the Heinkel Lerche is (dear god, how is that possible?!sign1) Here's a link to the luft 46 page: http://www.luft46.com/heinkel/helerche.html.
    I'll post pictures as the model progresses.

    @ ekuth: Well, the real question is: how do you bail out? sign1

    Anywho, I'm almost done with the prototype design. The only problem is that, well, there are a lot of complications in the designs, and I haven't really been motivated about this lately...
    Here are my current problems:
    * Texturing
    * The model looks too cartoonish
    * The fins
    * Cowling
    *A color scheme that would make the model appealing

    latest pics

    I wasted about 4 sheets of paper for the "wing", and a whole lot more for the fins, but so far, the model looks pretty darn decent!

    That is cool!

    RE: Bailing out
    The Reichdreams Dossier has a short description on bailouts for prone pilot configurations. The front portion of the fuselage will be blown out (just like an ejection seat). Descent will be slowed down by parachutes. Once the speed is manageable, the pilot will get out of the capsule and use his own chute.

    I think this is the same as the one in the Bachem Natter.

    Yeah, I know about the natter--cute little plane. I would guess that's how one would bail out of a plane like the lerche without being turned into grated cheese sign1

    I submitted the model to the downloads section, now I'm just waiting for it to be approved (by the way, what's up with the slow approval?).
    I'll post the downloads link when it's done. Thanks for the support, guys! :thumb:

    @ Eric_Son, I'm not good enough yet to master the curves that the wespe has sign1

    I'm currently making a second version of the Lerche, in the colors of the Ta-152 from Leiji Matsumoto's Cockpit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TFJtruGFkg
