I'll try that! Won't epoxy 'til I know it works, but it's worth a try. I REALLY layered fiberglass in the back, so it sort of pooled up- it's pretty thick.

The rifle is a Quantum Entanglement Props one off, he sent it up here for a photoshoot. What's more important is the designs on the table- I am building something similar with multiple layers of MDF

Update! Shoot totally happened and it was awesome. More studio time soon.
Photos courtesy of Nick Dollimount Photography, the Viper was on loan from Quantum Entanglement Props. My good friend Lexi modelled Femshep.

Great photo, PreacherMan. The smoke on the back really sets up a nice ambience!

Thanks! It was a good day overall, I'm really happy with how the pictures turned out.
Jeeze, I should start my own thread for Mass Effect.

Thanks! My god we had a good time.
The more I look at this armor, the more I sort of hate it. Had a bit of a crisis with how it looks and spent yesterday slimming it in EVERY direction. Now, it looks WAY less bulky, but no pictures of that.
Pictures of it looking bulky, instead.

While there is a lot to be said for a slim suit of armor (it is easy to move in and you can actually SIT DOWN while wearing it) I actually like the bulkiness of your armor. It gives the armor a sense of weight and solidity- kinda like it could take a hit from an RPG. It also makes you look like a tank in a very good sort of way.

So, I took a break from here for a little while to ditch papercraft, focus on my job and school, and get back into foam building. I know that's irrelevant to this section, but it seems this thread is a modge podge of a lot of different builds, so I'd just like to share progress on other things. :)

Forgive the overwhelming image dump, but there's been a lot happening since I last posted, mostly in terms of armour builds.
Most of this stuff can be found on my new page, http://facebook.com/nathandelucacosplay
Started after I started getting featured in some magazines, Kotaku, and other stuff. This has really picked up- hard to believe it's only been a year.

Finally. I think it's about done. Went and did a shoot with Shaun Simpson for it (ssimpson.ca- he's amazing) and these are the results.

And the alternate black armour is done! Two and a half days of solid work and it's finally good enough to get pictures-

    Photos with Paul Vienneau-

It's mostly 1/4in EVA with styrene plating, textured with shelf liner after painting the camo on by hand. Copying the patterns symmetrically based on concept art was a pain.

Friend and I powered through a Garrus in a few days. We did some photos out of town, and they turned out awesome.
The Femshep set I had was a commission I made for a girl in New Brunswick- we had the original Shep for the shoot bail, so my friend Tasha took her place.

    Hey, PreacherMan!

It's been a while, but when you reappear, you sure make a stylish entrance back into scene!
As usual, I loved the pics! Nice production, specially the ones with fire. WAY TO GO!!!
