    Here are pictures of my latest building effort... It is generally army green and has a smelly gas turbojet engine...and there flying all over this area...lots of time in groups of 3-5 at a time...can be used as a Medievac.(Fort Campbell, especially!) Can't have Air Assault without them....Hooaah!!!:twisted: This is also my first attempt at using vacuforming...this is at a scale of 1:72...since the 1:120 scale was "crazy teeny"!!!:razz: ....Bob out....

    ah lawn dart

    Hello;
    When I was working on them back in the late 80's a lot of us called them lawn
    Darts because of the reason some of them crashed. Loved them though. First ones I ever got to go ride in.
    Regards, Jeff

    working on cockpit and crew quarters

    here's what I'm doing with this little bugger.....the frame assembly was nerve recking at this scale...1:72...still small...but the fit of the outside cockpit seems pretty good...we'll see how it goes:oops:

    OK........... this IS a Chinook right? It looks a little long for a Huey.

    ok, having taken a closer look at the printed sheets, it is a Blackhawk but I do agree, the cabin is big even for a Blackhawk

    If you get any closer with the camera, I will think that I am in black hawk down. Great build.

    nose attached on UH-60!

    This is about where I will finish for my Easter build...I attached the nose to the frame...there were problems but overall the fit was good....this is one strange bit of airframe contors...but you can see the Blackhawk shape sort of coming out....but I am quite pleased with the how this is coming along:yep: ...and of course...the damm macro lense finds every flaw there is!....but heh who's perfect!:oops:

    U-60 Blackhawk progress....

    as you can see...I finished the glassed sections of the U-60 Blackhawk at the 1:72 scale.....this has been a real challenge....some fit problems....not necessarily on the way the kit was designed...but my build of the frame was perhaps in error on selecting too thin card stock..or -perhaps it should have been reinforced at key areas...oh well...too late now:-( ....anyway it rather does look like a "Blackhawk"...man after this kit...I need to build something a little more straight-forward...still it is fun!
