    hi there !!
    just to update you all on my build of the gpm catalina pby-2
    hopefully by the end of tommorrow ill have the til fin assembled,underside,and cockpit and forward gun /obsewrvation port completed
    sorry about the quality of the photos i didnt have my digi cam nearby so i used my mobiles camera

    bad news..... neighbours cat got in to my lounge via open door in kitchen whilst i was out in my garage and has totally destroyed the catalina:curse:wall1 cat got train97

    back to square one hamr

    no england, basildon essex:thumb:
    restarted build fusalague ribs completed about to start cockpit and rear section....this feels like deja vu !! lol:thumb:
    this is what the cats face looked like when i came in from the garage:eek: and me chaseing it train97
    should be back on trakc in a couple of days will update pics then

    Well things tend to go together more nicely the second time you do them anyways. Just think of the first build as practice and this one as perfection.

    Make a derelict plane diorama out of it. It was coming out so nice.

    good idea.......good news just completed the full cockpit build (no cats around ) just got to mount the canopy i will update with pics tommrrow as its 3am here just took 2 hours to complete nose section...really tricky but it looks good :thumb:

    Very glad to hear that the Catalina is still an ongoing project. It was looking so sweet from the earlier photos posted.

    :thumb:completed wing framework just got to cover,and then make up wing floats/skids.forward turret completed now
    looks closer to completion now hopefully in the next two or three days :thumb:

    Col. kurtz,

    Nice recovery from the cat attack. One advantage is that the second build comes out better than the first. Lots of glass on this model - nice job.

    further update wing assembly in process of being covered skids next to be assembled--looks like a evening job to do those !!:thumb:
