It seems my wife, for no particular reason whatsoever, got me a subscription to Model Railroader as a gift. I got the gift card yesterday, but she doesn't know that I got the gift card yet, because I'm wondering what to do about it. While it was a great idea, and any enthusiasm she can show for my model railroad is greatly appreciated, I of course already have a subscription.
So as near as I can figure it out, I have three choices.
(1) Thank her very much, but tell her I already have a subscription.
(2) Don't tell her I already had a subscription, and give the extra copy to my brother or something. Unfortunately, I'm not sure how well this would work, because she gets home b4 me, and therefore brings in the mail, 9 times out of 10.
(3) Call Kalmbach and see if they'll combine the subscriptions, and thereby lengthen my subscription to two years (I subscribed myself in November), or perhaps switch one of them to one of their other magazines.
