I am sure many of us have seen the GE commercial with the driving of the gold spike.
It is quite funny and just plain neat.
However how many of us can identify the two tunes played.
Most Civil War buffs would know.
    Take a guess.
    Hint:
They are on the Ken Burns' Civil War film and on the CD also.
    Great songs and great comercial.

If they had that demo on the market I would love to have one. I'm hoping to pull together the whole set of UP's fallen flag locomotives. Is Tower 55 producing them or just Overland? I saw the new GE commercial twice. pretty neat if I say so.

I enjoy that ad too! I recognised the tune of one of the songs from the Civil War documentary but don't know the songs well enough to know that one was anti-railroad. Inquiring minds want to know1 :)
