I got my first shot of the Gauge car as its train sat in a siding at Stockton, waiting for an RDC constituting the early afternoon commuter service. This is the westernmost section of the JGL in service so far. Not much here yet.

Having received permission from the dispatcher to continue east, I snapped this shot as the train crossed over Main St. in East Stockton. Those of you with the Gauge for awhile will recognize the scene, and the fact that nothing has been done with it for over a year.

This next shot was taken as the train sat on a siding waiting for permission to enter Taylor yard. Thats the back of Nielson Motors behind the train.

I just had to take this photo while I was waiting for the train to continue into the yard. When the outbound 2-8-0 (which will be relettered for JGL) clears, we'll be on our way.

Here's the Gauge car crossing the Passaic.

As we pull into the yard, we see a NYC switcher which has brought in a cut of interchange cars. This loco was one of this summers projects, my first strip, paint and letter work in years. It was fun!

Next day found the Gauge car bound for its destination on the Garfield branch. Here it is passing the old abandoned depot on the branch.

Wow Gary - what a great bunch of pics and a super-looking layout! I see that, like me, you have a lot of roadwork going on. Let's hope City Council approves the funds to finish that underpass!!
