Hi Rich, I took a look at your website also, looks darn good to me. Your "Dusey-Goose" looks good, first time I looked I thought it read that the Dusey body was 1/30 scale & was amazed that it didn't look horribly oversize, 1/52 is a lot closer. If you are going to build another you might want to look at NWSL with an eye to using their Flea II with an aux. Flea gearbox to power it. The wheel base on a Goose truck is only 3'10". The Flea can be set up to either make that or get darn close. My own # 2 came in at 4' with a scratch built truck & transmission . Problem with that is any future repair or service for anybody else is no available parts unless they figure out how you fabricated things. Talked to Fred at NWSL yesterday , they again have a small enough motor to produce the Flea , could not make them for awhile, still can't make the PDT power truck. The Flea II is a bit pricey at about 60.00$ incl the aux unit & motor but I think is a viable power unit for something like a Goose.

Okay Virginian,
This is what all the shouting is all about, Susan was given to me my Catt, because I am the oldest Mod on the board, now he wants to have her back, WRONG, I have immortalized her on my flat car for life.

Shay 2, I found the Goose wheel listing I was looking for. They are 24" -6 spoked , made by Precision Scale-- 3.75 a set ( 2 wheels -1 axle) part #31935. They also have a 26" Part # 31936 Shamus, I found the Bus body stuff & it is # 3, which is the same as # 5 except that it has the freight box behind . # 5 only had the excursion body after the bus cab was fit to it. If you want the excursion body it's no big problem. I am still getting pieces & parts lined up as to cost etc. I'll keep you posted. -----Dave

Shay 2, It's just Precision Scale ,no models attached. They are a lost wax casting mnfr, took over what used to be the Kemtron line. They are in Montana (406) 777-5071 I don't have the address handy. They are carried by Walthers ,but will sell direct, but may have a min. order. They don't always have their entire line in at any given time, so sometimes it's a bit of a wait. I'm going to call them monday about these wheels & some other things as well, I'll let you know if they are in stock. If there is still a min. order perhaps btween the two of us & a friend of mine here that needs something we can gang up on them. Yes they are spoked--6--I think they are lead or trailing truck wheels for some engine or other. They are on the same size axle as the Flea II has, & are insulated 1 side, not a perfect match for a Goose but close enough, 'cause I made my own spoked wheels once , not again.Do you have drawings & dimensions for the Goose you want to build? By the way, these P/S wheels are narrow gauge, so you will need new axles even if you don't mount them on a Flea. Later ------Dave

Rich, Talked to P/S today, They have the wheels in stock. Minimum order is only +20.00 $ + 5.00 shipping. They have a web page www.precisionscaleco.com Not much on it, no online catalog, just information as to who they are, address, & catalog order information.I also found some Plastic Grandt Line (non-operating scenery wheels) that are spoked just like the Goose wheels. They could be used if a brass or nickle tire was machined for them & rim wiper pickups used. I don't have the part # for them, had them lying about for years, just looked at them in a different light today, probably could find the part # if you want.
