I started working on the Scenery finally - here are some in progress pics.. I'm using Newspaper & 50/50 mix of White Glue & water.. with a splash of dishwashing detergent.

Thats nice, how big is the layout and how much room did it take to do that layout?

It's 12ft wide and 8 ft deep - the new scenery is about 4 ft wide from end to end of the newspaper.

Hey Mikey, you're off to a good start! :thumb:

What do you put into that gaping hole at the right of the two last pictures? Is this the entrance to Colossal Caves? :D :D :D

    What a COOL idea!

Nice work, Mikey! Could you tell us a bit about using a white glue and water mix over wire screen system? I hadn't heard of this method; just the plaster and newspaper method...which I hate because it's so incredibly messy. Would the glue/water/newspaper system work well enough (and be tough enough) for a modular travelling layout?

Thanks TC --- Yeah - I've found the Paper Mache' to be the least messy & the easiest to "position" as far as placing the paper strips on the frame :)
