Any fellow members know where a Pepakura file for a Flash Gordon - Buck Rogers Style Rocket ship can be found? I have found a PDF for a simple version , but I want to scale it up to 5' -6' for a huge wall display. I can build Pep files, I can somewhat scale them up (with trial and error) but I have no experience in working with 3-D files. What I want to do is build them and fiberglass the shell . Split it down the middle to make a wall hanger outer shell, and a display of the inner spaceship to display some 1/6 scale Buster Crabbe figures. I know it would have to be around 12' to be in correct scale but 6' to maybe 8' max is all the wall space I can use unfortunately. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know why your post had most of the letters in blue to a link that was not relevant, but be more careful, please! I edited your post to contain only normal letters.

Now, you want a Buck Rogers ship? Go onto Google images, download an image of what you are looking for and then upload the image to the forum, do not link to the image. Then we will try and help you. You question is too broad, as in which Buck Rogers, and which ship? :)

Yeah I have no idea why it done that either, sorry about that. I tried to edit it a few times myself. I am looking for any of the ships being a fan of the serials, and because there are none to be found :)

But here are a few of my favorites

Just copy and paste the text into a Text(.txt) file, that will get rid of it. You copy and Paste the Text from the .txt file back into your post and you get some clean posts. We do require pictures be uploaded into the forum, not linked, it is in the rules. It's been quite a while since you have been here, you make want to read the Rules and Policies, they have changed, mostly commonsense stuff, but worth reading.

Did you check our "Resource" are, because I see one there, in two parts. Always check to see if we have it, you may be surprised at how much we have since you were last here. We do enjoy members returning.

The two parts are on this page:

It does, Uncle George (Lucas) was heavily inspired by Buck Rogers :) guess this is more evidence, like the opening crawl ;)

I believe this was in the comic book. I came across it in an old SciFi Modelling magazine I don't really know a lot about it my real love is the Dan Dare and Trigan Empire stories but there is a wealth of potential models in early SciFi

Lucas stole from every science fiction story, the mindset and the depth of his "genius/plagiarism" goes very deep. Watch "Forbidden Planet'. All the scenes inside the planet's massive generator are very reminiscent of Luca's "imagination", as is the "Orion" docking into the Space wheel, you almost expect Darth Vader to land next. The list goes on. It's been noticed by many before.

The kind of scale Lucas used so much.

And how did Star Wars become the icon it is?

To quote Yogurt, " Merchandising, Merchandising!"

And the sequel, "spaceballs 2, the quest for more money!"

I think it's time you learn to do one for yourself.. especially since for instance the Zarkov Ship is such a simple model...
Learning Pepakura is not that hard.. and Blender is freeware... there is no real valid excuse!
I will even give you the obj files to get you started..
but you must publicly PROCLAIM you will TRY!
    and post build pix...
and of course I will help!..
I would also suggest..start with a maquette (model) first !!!
and scaling up to 6 + feet!! you will more than likely have to use a small copy and an overhead projector..as it gets real expensive as well as a nightmare just printing a scaled up figure to a couple hundred millimeters, many many sheets..which I suppose you know as I just re-read your message as a reference, and see you can do pep files..
I got 2 quick versions..which took about 2 minutes to find on the net.. the Zarkov is for 3d printing
