Fiddler's Green Ho-IX V1 and DM-1

Hello,
I'm a beginner in paper modelling, and I'm already going crazy...

I was looking for as simple a model as I could possibly find, for me to start. The FG Ho-IX V1 and DM-1 seemed like the perfect models, essentially consisting of only 3 part (for the main airframe).

But I'm just not smart enough to make even those models. The problem is the curvature of the noses. The Ho relies on folding the two fuselage "halves" (the split parts) around, and I just can not get them to align. The DM-1 is even worse: The two halves are ok in the rear and the middle, but the nose is impossible for me to get aligned.

Is there some trick to get this done properly? I saw some pictures of someone making the Ho-IV and it looks really good, but I don't know how s/he did this. I could not find anything on the DM-1. wall1

Thanks all!

Didn't know Schreiber had a free model... Thanks!

Yes, I'll stick to it. I guess I just need to keep working on it. It's way too cool to give it up, for sure!
