Ojimak V.S. Stahlhart

I choose F-18 Blue Angels to evaluate and find out
the characteristics pro/con of each template right from the start.

Let's begin with the print out

Ojimak : Scale around 1/144, 1 Page A4
Stahlhart: Scale around 1/100, 2 Page A4

Ojimak: Not so many parts, finish the cut in 30 minutes.

Stahlhart: A lot of parts, finish the cut in 4-5 hours.

Building of Ojimak F-18 Blue Angels

It took around 40 minutes to build Ojimak F-18 Blue Angels

Then I compare it with my plastic model F-18 Blue Angels.

F-toys Acroteam Collection 2

Ojimak did lack in details and the shape is not so realistic
but very easy and not time consume to make.

Build of Stahlhart F-18 Blue Angels

Well, it's already took me 5 hours to get to the point of
overall shape of the aircraft. But I haven't get work on the details part yet.

However, step by step building each tiny parts does give more realistic
shape of the plane.

Stahlhart [Continue]

Well, I am not sure I can make 1/144 out of Stahlhart since at this scale,
I have to admit that there are so many tiny parts already. It will be too difficult to make it in 1/144.

Now get them altogether

Ojimak, Stahlhart and F-toys.

I still haven't work on the landing gear and details part of Stahlhart.
I'd like this thread as open discussion regarding model built, details, etc.

I do have some thought on my mind for what to do next after this test build comparison but I do like to hear the opinion from you guys as well.

Thank you very much.

Shika

stahlharts f-18 looks more realistic then ojimaks even at this scale. also ojimak disigned his canopy to be a little bitt foward towards the nose cone.but both are well made peices of art. good job.

Stahlharts is the better template, much more realistic. it captures the shape better. nice work on both.
