I'm forwarding this information from the CP sig listserve in case anyone may be interested in taking a short jaunt under steam behind this historic engine.


Tickets for day excursions will be advertised shortly
for various legs where paying guests can be accomodated.

I believe that the cross-Canada tickets (one way, with air return) went for something on the order of US$26,000 last year.

Yes, the whole tour is very expensive, but they offer day trips as well at much more reasonable rates. We were able to ride to Milton on the Empress from Toronto's Union Station for $30 each (and returned by the more prosaic Go Train).
