early american rail HELP wanted.

Hello guys. I am setting up a scenic railway based on early american west coast rail. Circa 1860-1880.
As a complete newbie I do not know which websites to visit to specifically find rolling stock, engines and scenery from this era.
Is there any model rail shop with a website that specialises in this era, or does any rail website seperate their rolling stock, scenery items and engines etc into different eras so I can easily choose the correct items when buying - therefore retaining historical accuracy ?

Thanks for any guidance.

That era itself is pretty interesting--if by "West Coast" you mean California, then you're talking Central Pacific. Bachmann and IHC make appropriately-styled locomotives, although they aren't the best runners.

IHC does a series of "old-time" freight cars that are suitable for the period, and are relatively inexpensive.

Give us more details of exactly what you are looking for--and the folks here (myself included) will happily inundate you with information!
