Doing some research on the real Central New England and came across this picture. Apparently, the guy had gotten drunk and tried to cross the CNE bridge in New Hartford CT. This picture was taken at the turn of the last century. One horse had to be shot, one was saved, and the owner was taken to jail(DWI?).
