I would like to connect my Fa/b with a drawbar to get them as close as they can get . After several failed attempts, I need help, the crude bar I used works well going forward(what wouldn't??) but binds backing up.Basicly all I did was take off the couplers and put in a small piece of plastic with a hole in each end for the coupler screws to go through. I need a better mousetrap . thanks

Canada, eh?
What you've done should work. What is actually binding? If the units are touching when you back up, then you have too much play in the drawbar mounting. The holes that the screws go through should be only slightly larger than the diameter of the screws. Also, make sure that the "tail" of the drawbar, that is, the part that extends past the screw, isn't too long, as any play at the screwhole will result in the drawbar hitting the back of the coupler pockets, restricting its ability to pivot.
