    Hi Guys !

A quick one: Today I was watching some parked cars on a siding, and a batch of (guess) covered hoppers had theses inscriptions in red letters:

Do not hammer on side of car !
Hammering on side of car will contaminate product !

    What is it about ?

    Thanks !

P.S.: Glad to be back here !

Sometimes on covered hoppers, they hammer on the sides of the cars to get the contents out. The result is paint chipping off of the inside of the car and into the product. Many covered hoppers have brackets on the bottom of each bay. They hook large vibrators into the brackets and vibrate the contents out. Apparently, they didn't want any paint chips in this product.
