    Hi,

I started the construction of the Digital Navy's Yamato.
The scale is 1/250 and the model is 106 cm.
I finished the main ship and some details from the main deck.
In addition i make some parts but i haven't fotos yes. Perhaps tomorow.

    Keel and frames: 4mm thickness
    mail deck: 6mm thickness
    planking: 3mm thickness

Not sure what to say here. You get an "A" for effort, but you will have to reskin that hull. I would leave the one on there in place and put a new one right over it. It iss far too bumpy and out of whack, but has potential.

I would first print out new side hull pieces and find where the high points are. If they are too high, sand them back. Use a long thing piece of balsa wood (1/4 by 6' long) This will give you the "fair" line and show you how that hull should be shaped. Tape it to various points, starting on the top of the stern and just lay it across the hull till you reach the bow. If you have any questions I would be more than happy to help. :)

Thank you for the prompt response. But I must say that the ship was specially designed to have just as out of the battle. That is intentional imperfections. You'll see many such in the future with few exceptions.
Certainly, in some places there is a problem and stuck again because paper accidentally collagens in my hand the paper being wet.

Thanks in advance for any advice

    And a little update ....

He finished the skeleton of the central tower, covered and got the guns.
These seem to me to antiaircraft ... aren't they:?::?::?::?::?:

Addition built some fine details that would put the end on the main deck.

I think in the near future to fix it and a case like this the transparent plastic, but from cardboard, because the partitions do not apply very well and there is serious risk of tangled pieces ... what you suggest??? Got a better solution????

Incredible!! Do you have reference pictures for the damage? I do not think I have ever seen anyone do this to this extent,or at least on such a large ship before. Great job!

I don't want the ship very damaged, so i don't do many parts damages. The main Hull and the planking has damaged, but the ship will not have very damaged parts, we cant forget the size and the fear it caused to other ships, so it was difficult for the US Navy to make easy great damage at the Yamato. Of cource at the end it sank, but with many losses from the US side. The most times it has light only damage, ant that i trying

Well I have just printed out my sheets for this bad boy, so will be reviewing this build thread at regular internal. I'm thinking about starting with the main guns, rather than the hull to get a feel for the models construction.
