Thank you very much Edi! I'm glad you enjoyed building the MiG-21.

I'm currently working on the Tornado still, things got a little slow because I had family in town, and I predict progress will be somewhat slow this week as well, Wednesday being Halloween, and Thursday being my birthday. Hopefully I'll be able to squeeze out one or two models though. ;)

Renaud: I'm not sure I quite understand your post...I've seen that MiG-17 project before, but I'm not sure what that site is you linked to.

Also, I was curious as to whether anyone had used my uncolored models to make any different color variations yet, and if so, if any of you would be interested in sharing them? I did notice that they have been downloaded a few times, so I figure someone is going to at some point. Please feel free to post images or files here so we can all see, and maybe build your variations!

This website is crowded up with accurate and reliable drawings of planes coming from everywhere, up to fuselage cuttings and so. And I put on the thread Farich Abdillah started with his Mig 17 an image showing the way how to get the drawings, as some people here don't read Russian.
This evening the link doesn't work, it is the first time for over three years, I am afraid, as this site provides a great deal of information.

Dude, you are a model making machine. Just reading this entire post is a blast.

Your planes are great! They look cool, build fast and accurate, and best of all, they fly!

I hope I speak for everyone here in saying that we really appreciate the effort and time you have put into making our hobby that much more fun. Keep up the good work, but don't burn yourself out. Remember, your responsibilities are to yourself and your family first.

Have a happy birthday!

Thanks! Just so everyone knows, I've uploaded and updated version of page 2 for the Tornado model that should make the swing wings easier to build and make them work better as well (the gears weren't close enough before).

Meanwhile, the next model will either be the English Electric Lightning, or the YF-23. Which would you all prefer?

I would prefer the Lightning:thumb:
did you ever think about one of the great British Bombers, Vulcan or Canberra?
Would be a great trio of the RAF

I am really enjoying following this thread. Thanks for sharing with us Paragon. Eventually I'll build some of these and post the pics.

Ok, here's the current list:

1 - English Electric Lightning
2 - YF-23
3 - FJ-1, 2, 3, and 4
4 - MiG-23/27
5 - Su-15
6 - L-39/59/139/159 (just for you Paladin)
7 - Boeing 2707
8 - J-37 Draken
9 - J-10 Chengdu
10 - Su-25
11 - F-100
12 - F-105
13 - F-111
14 - YA-9
15 - B-58
16 - X-29
17 - X-32 (With and without horizontal stabilizers)
18 - Blackburn Buccaneer
19 - Hawker Hunter

By popular consensus, the English Electric will be next. After that, I'll have to decide between the B-58 and YF-23.

Yeah...thats sort of what I'm thinking too, but I'm having trouble finding good resources for the bottom of it. I need flat line-drawings in particular. Anyway, I have to finish the EE Lightning first anyway. ;)

Yeah...I figured someone would request the Canberra at some point. My problem is that if I do it, I'll probably have to do all of the American versions too. I'll put it on the list though. (That second link is the A-6 Intruder btw). I'll need all four views (top, bottom, side, front) to be able to make it though.

Meanwhile, despite it being my birthday, I've been hard at work on the Lightning (what can I say? This is what I do for fun!). I just finished the template for the Lightning, and I'm about to use it to construct the first prototype, I'll let you all know how it goes. Hopefully by the end of the night I'll have a brand new digital camera with which I can very easily take pictures of all my progress (I've been using a video camera so far, and grabbing frames from it with Adobe Premiere).

Anyway, updates later.

Paragon I agree with the popular consensus on the Lightning, but can I vote for the L39? This way it is not just Paladin.... Also, may I add A7 Corsair on the list? Thank you!

I also vote for the L-39 , because is such hard to find a good and free paper model of this airplaine. It's also hard to find a good comercial model.
My second option is the Mig-23/27, obvious why.:mrgreen:

Ok, the Lightning is almost done, I just have to color it and upload it.

Meanwhile, the next models in order will be (partly because of my own preference);

1 - B-58 Hustler
2 - YF-23 Black Widow
3 - L-39 Albatross
4 - MiG-23/27
5 - ? We'll see when I get there.

Please, please, please, don't drop the YF-23 lower on the list. It's a much desired model, at least by me! And another one I'd like to suggest is the MIG-19. I haven't found a model of it yet.
