Mind showing some other views? Did you include gear in this model? And what exactly do you mean about the nose?

also in 1/144 as the SU-56
all fitts well and it was a fun to build this very good looking fighter, maybe the same note about the nose, but it`s without problem
A real GREAT thx to Paragon

other views are a problem the moment; MY camera is owned by my daughter and it`s not clearwhen she will visit me, latest Saturday

No, there is no gear included, as all my models are in flying position. It´s also a question of storing the minis, gears will always break....

The nose: if you do 14 tops instead of 7 I think it`s easier to get a round nose, and I think the tabs avoid rounding the nose

having too many tabs in a nose cone will deform the cone because of the accumulating thickness of overlapping tabs. i can see that being a problem for smaller builds :)shock:, how can you make them so small???). you either (1) reduce the number of tabs when you cut the pattern, (2) maybe just have one long tab that goes around inside the cone, and then stick the inner face of the cones to that one tab, or (3) have no tabs at all, and instead use tape inside to make the faces stick into a cone.

i find on small parts, tabs are a hinderance. i only use tabs on large parts.

Newest model prototype complete! I've made some changes to it, especially the upper fuselage, so that it blends into the wing better.

Just in case you don't recognize the model, it is the F-16XL.

Thanks Paragon for the colouring tips. I've used your Mig-21 as a base to my model.
Soon I will post pictures with a Mig-19 with Romanian markings.

Ok, I took a little advice on this and added more sides to the part for the nose. I'm considering making noses the way I did with the Vautour from now on, but it will be rather difficult with my design method. We'll see.

Anyway, the F-16XL is now available on my website.

    Thanks!

Meanwhile, I have a special message for David Berry (if he is a member of these forums): check the forums on my website, I'm going to let you choose the next model I design!

Anyone else interested in getting a request at the top of my list can head over there and see what its about.

I designed and built the first prototype in one day. In fact, I did it in less than 6 hours. I'm pretty impressed with myself. Expect colored versions soon.

Hope this doesn't steal your thunder Lex, though I was curious if you minded my trying the parts for your model's nose, just as a possible alternative.

For those of you who might not recognize it, this model is the J-10, China's most recent fighter.
