Modellers and fellow wizards of cardstock:

As a rookie with a need for speed in the sea, I would like to model a shortfin mako shark. But, where to start? The Mako has some complex curvature, particularly if the caudal tail is in motion (for you divers out there, when is it not?), so it's not as easy as it sounds. For you of the Supreme Veteran class, what would you do to start?

Do I Blend, Auto-Cad, or just pencil-whip the design? Confronting such a task with my skill-set, brings to mind that my boat is so small and the ocean (or the shark, in this case) is so large.

    Any advice appreciated.
