Ha! Who's got the whip now???
And here are the parts for the necks. Yes, you'll have to build two of them which means building five equal components twice.
But there is one step in the build process which repays for any inconveniences this build causes and requires. And I'm not telling what step this is! Just read the instructions and build the model, then you'll understand. It's smooth, it's elegant, a rewarding experience.
The two necks, one short, one extended, the neck mount and the short neck attached.
Crichton ... Is here!
And here he comes:
from Buck Rogers!
(- APPLAUSE! - :mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen
Amazing! I'm looking forward to this!
This was a very fun build and I'm sure you'll enjoy it, too. But who could comment on this project better than Crichton himself. Luckily he's standing right in front of me.
- Well, my dear metallic friend, what do you say to this model?
- I clearly understand why you humans would like to take credit for creating something as beautiful and perfect as I am. But the concept is utterly ludicrous. Good day.
Well then, bye for now!
:wave7:HIP HIP HURRAY, HIP HIP HURRAY, HIP HIP HURRAY!!!:wave7:
KUDOS TO YOU ON A FINE JOB WELL DONE!!!
Once I finish the Interster, I will start on it!!!
@ RB: Great that you like it! Once the instructions are ready you'll get a copy of the kit for your archive and the new Buck Rogers downloads section.
@ ASC: I'll shrink the parts and send you a copy for test-building. There might be some issues because some the parts will become very fiddly. However, with combined forces I'm certain that we can do it. We may post any updates on the 1/18 scale figure here, too.
@ all: As you know the telescoping neck is one of the features I really wished to add to this kit. Since the 1/6 scale model is too small for that I'm going to build another neck and head in 1/4 scale - with telescoping action. So, stay tuned for more updates!
LOVE IT!!! :thumb:
You are a telescope yourself, R-F.....
You extend yourself beyond all expectations...:thumb: (EDIT: In your model building skills I mean ...sign1)
Crichton - the viagrous robot..!
Mmmm. It must of got stuck in his throat........sign1
To quote another robot:
(Thank goodness it wasn't me who came up with that design in the first place. The whole crew wondered about the shape of Twiki's head, ya know, but no-one dared to ask any questions!:mrgreen::mrgreen: --- And now: Back to topic! :thumb: )
BTW, congrats on your new King! aussie
So cool, how I remember loving hat show. Now it's a little hard to watch....he came out great
:wave7:Thank You Sir!!!:wave7: Crichton turned out great. Will be building this one, that's for sure. What a wonderful addition to the the Buck Rogers collection. ( I sure hope Twiki joins us all some day). Thanks again.
Thank you! :thumb:
I still like the show. The design is still great, and I love Buck's James Bond style.
Speaking of that:
Revelle-Fan, I tried to fix that link if your post but it does not come up, if you can send me a link to the video (in a P.M.) I will fix it for you. When you press the share button and copy the code, you only paste the actual code here at Zealot the mzZRWB5k2ig type number letter code. It still didn't work when I tried though.
RF, that's a nice parody! I know the internet is vast, but how con you find these things, man? I really liked that...
Thanks for fixing, Zathros! :thumb:
@ Rogerio: I was looking for the original song by Psy and the search showed me a zillion cover versions, including this one. Matthias is great, isn't he? I think I'll add a link to his channel to the off-topic lounge.
@ all: The parts for the 1:18 scale Crichton action figure are ready. I've sent them to ASC for testing. The kit will be revised on-the-fly. The parts have become very small, 1/3rd of the size of the model I have built. I have printed the pages on normal paper to see IF they can be assembled, and I am confident. However, it looks a bit like a UHU02 kit now .
The first version of the instructions is ready. I'm revising the file now and maybe I'll add some better pictures.
