Unfortunately, my timing was off, and I missed it at the crossing near my home (too far to travel to one of the scheduled stops...).

So, if anyone has pictures, could you please share?

I found out last might that it was about 2 hours late for Smiths Falls, which would have meant 11 - 11:30pm! Too bad... although Chris, you probably could have seen it in the morning instead!!

We'll try again next year... Thanks guys.

I forgot which day it was to be in Whitby, and my wife felt that seeing the other train in daylight in Streetsville would not be as good as last year in the dark.
Chris: did any of your CPR friends see it? Did the 2 trains meet somehwere?

Medicine Hat, Alta. Arrives 4:45 p.m., show starts 5:00 p.m., ends 5:30 p.m. Location: Queen and North Railway Street, East of CPR Station

Brooks, Alta. Arrives 7:15 p.m., show starts 7:30 p.m., ends 8 p.m.
Location: 1st Avenue, behind the civic building

Gleichen, Alta. Arrives 9:05 p.m., show starts 9:15 p.m., ends 9:35 p.m. Location: **Special Event, Siksika Nation Community Centre


Wednesday, Dec. 17

Calgary, Alta. Arrives 5:30 p.m., show starts 5:45 p.m., ends 6:15 p.m. Location: Sunnyside Greenhouse parking lot, 3439 69th Street NW

Cochrane, Alta. Arrives 7:00 p.m., show starts 7:10 p.m., ends 7:30 p.m. Location: Between River Street and 4th Street, behind the Provincial building

Canmore, Alta. Arrives 8:40 p.m., show starts 8:50 p.m., ends 9:10 p.m. Location: Between IGA and Safeway

Banff, Alta. Arrives 10:00 p.m., show starts 10:15 p.m., ends 10:45 p.m. Location: CPR Station Elk and Lynx Street

Looks like it heads out right after the show. I have included all the Alberta sites just in case you find yourself "out and about" in the province on that night...

Even If I drive to Banff after work, I'll still miss it by about 30 minutes.
