I would like any ideas/suggestions on how to automatically stop the lid of my Control Panel which swings up and out to stay in the horizontal position so that I can work on wiring, etc. Presently if I do not put something under the lid to stop it at about waste high, it swings all the way down to to a vertical position which will put a strain on the wiring. Any ideas would be appreciated.:thumb:

Hi...Look in the hinge and door hardware section of your local mega-hardware store...there should be a "jack-knife" sort of stay that will allow it to drop down or lock it in a raised position....

Got a couple of old metal drawer slides and rigged them to work. Thanks for the input.
