    John,
Sure is. Laz is probably watching the Open and drinking a few (cases) of Old Mil.

Need to get down to the trainroom... been too long since I've run trains. I did redo one of the doors on the DVD storage unit, one more to go.

Logicman - thanks for the welcome. Another UKer? Cool! Always nice to meet fellow railroaders from across the pond.

    Howdy
Not a day for big news. I think I am still full from yesterdays food offerings, sure did not eat much today. Read some CTT,almost finished, but did not run trains. We had some rain in Mich. today but not here. I think it's the first day since last Sunday that no one lost power from a storm. Have a nice evening and a good sleep, unless you are at work, then don't get caught....S.J.

    Thank you Brutus.

    Good morning.

It's 71 and partly cloudy in the Sportsman's Paradise. We're expecting a high in the mid 90's and a small chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Not much going on here today. I have a doctors appointment later (feet) to see what progress is being made. I may be able to get some work done on the layout today if I'm not too tired. All these antibiotics and other meds I'm on take a toll.

    Today's Weather for:
    Sundown, LA 71446-6114 6/16/2008

    Heat Index: 76°F
    Humidity: 88%
    Dew Point: 68°F

    So Far Today
    High: 72°F
    Low: 71°F
    Rain: 0.00"
    Rain Rate: 0.00"/h
    Gust: 3mph NW

Today High: 95 Partly cloudy. A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 90s. Light and variable winds.

Tonight Low: 68 Partly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Lows in the upper 60s. Light and variable winds.

Todays photo was taken from the roof of the American Foundry next to the park.

    Mornin' Fellas.

Not much going on. Today is my 2 year anniversary and I need to stop and buy a card and pickup Susie-Q's edible arrangement.

Speaking of edible arrangements... I was doing some web surfing on her laptop last weekend and saw that she had been looking for sites... one of the sites she had typed into the address bar... www.editablearrangements.com (not a site so don't try to click it). I got a kick out of that! sign1 should have been Edible Arrangements® Delicious Fresh Fruit Baskets & Gift Bouquets (is a site, go ahead and click. A bit pricey but they are worth every penny and IMHO are nicer than flowers - for some occasions - and kids love them too!)

I did get down to the train room last night and was messing around with the ROSS 4-way switch I got from GregM on the other forum... it isn't going to work... so now it is back to square one and trying to find another switch to use... wall1

Jeff - Do you model in HO or O? Those are some impressive pics!

    GOOD MORNING
Well its Brent's anniversary and my birthday. I'm on my own until 3:30 so I'm not sure how the day will go, but I'll force myself to make the best of it. I'm not looking forward to breakfast though as I am the cook and thats not good. Maybe some train running today as I like to run my first lionel set, a birthday present in 1949. 2025 with 2400 passenger cars. S.J.

    Good morning folks

It was 67 F as I headed out this morning. High today will be 79 F.

I have a half day today and then I am officially on vacation for a week. Once I get home this afternoon we will pack up the car and get ready. We hope to be on the road by 3 AM. According to the Tom Tom it will be about a nine hour drive to Bangor. We will be doing a whale and puffin watching tour, a backwoods moose tour, and climbing Mt Washington. We plan on riding at least one tourist railroad.

The one thing up in the air for tonight is my daughter got asked to play on a summer basketball team. Their first game is tonight. With vacation she will miss the next one and possibly the third game. We are trying to figure out if we can make the game tonight.

I don’t think I will have Internet access so I will see everyone in a week. We will be back home late Tuesday night.

I hope everybody has a good day.

    Happy Birthday S.J.

    Happy anniversary Brent.

    Enjoy the vacation TomPM.

    Have a nice day Chief.

It's a beautiful day here, started out cool so I had enough ambition to sharpen the mower blades, backflush the pond filter & clean up the planted area around the pond, before it got hot.

And to anyone I missed, have a great day.

Go to the top of forum and click 'Quick Links'. Scroll down to 'Edit Options'. Click 'Edit Options' and scroll down to 'Default Thread Subscription Mode'. It will be set to 'Instant Email Notification' by default. Set it for 'No Email Notification'. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'Save Changes'. That's all there is to it.

    email

Jeff, I copied all those steps, went thru them, and mine was set on instant email notification, but I never get any notification. It doesn't work for me. It used to a long time ago, then it quit. I'll have to keep checking back to see if I get a reply.:confused::confused:
