where the temp is 50 deg and headed to 66 deg with overcast skies. AT lest it has stop raining for now, but more is in the forecast. :curse: After 4 days of straight rain, enought already.

The good new is the custom layout has been delivered and is ready for the little boys birthday party today.

Morning all. Great job Tom. Busy day. Wife home sick with a cold. Suppose to go to Savannah tomorrow. She told her "crew" whe would be wel by tomorrow. One lady is now baulking and doe snot want to go. Messy women. They really screw things up as they never go when they say they are going places. I've scheduled brakes and etc on wife's car [she never lets it sit still long enough for me to work on it] for tomorrow as it was to be home until Sat evening. Got to go. God bless all.

Still raining here. Supposed to hit on low 50s today but the rain doesn't look like it is going to let up until Sunday sometime. Other than that I have been busy with taking a locomotive apart and getting it ready for paint. That should be done today. After that I will continue to work on my 0-6-0 steamer and prepare it for paint later today.

Good Morning All from NE Ohio​

where the temp is 45 deg and heading to 57 with overcast skies and yes we had more rain overnight and early morning.

Yesterday afternoon, the clouds gave way to some sunshine, but it was still cool.

Last night we had a meeting at the museum with a group that has been look for a home for their interurban historical society. It looks like they will be joins us. They even have some 'O' scale trolleys. :thumb:

This may be a day that we can work on our own layout.

Back after 50 years....

Hello,

I retired last June 2005 and among other hobbies, I have rekindled my interest in model railroading... I have not had one since around 16 years old... Also thinking it a good exposure for the grandkids... So I am embarking on a Scenic Ridge kit, modified to 3 1/2 x 7 ft by adding an additional outside loop run and a few other switching items for enertainment...

I worked for 34 years as a environmental engineer and love to build and/or take things apart... I am sure that this is the fault of my father who built me a large O gauge back in circa 1954 as the attached picture depicts... Boy, don't I wish I still had all that gear!

My name is actually Ray Peterson, but my handle is "pasayten" which actually comes from years of riding horses in the trails and mountains of the Pasayten Wilderness along the north central border of Washington adjoining Canada... Hence my "Pasayten Railroad" will also take on a rural, scenic, mountain flavor... with BN as the RR theme...

I have really found this and some of the other forums a great source of helpful information!! Have also got some good advice from you with many more years experience then me!

Good Morning Everyone. It is a cold 36 Degrees here right now. Supposed to be up in the 50's later today. Hopefully that will happen. Well today I will cotinue to work on the cottage and another new scene that I started. I am also going to start to plan another scene today I once I finish these two I will get that one started. Other than that I hope it does warm up today that way I can sit outside and model. LOL.

We have started the benchwork for the large layout at the museum this week. We will also be making plans on finishing the landscaping on the tin plate layout.

Some of the OTTS boys are planning a trip to AC & J RR, Jefferson, Ohio for the short line train trip and then head over to the NKP museum in Conneaut, Ohio. This will either be June 3 or 10.
