Work was very bussy yesterday, hope today is better.

I was too exhausted to even play with trains last night, just watch the CMA show. Was it me or did Allan Jackson sing off key last night ?

Hi guys, It was a bit chilly here last night. In the mid 30s, it should warm up to the low 70s though today.
I spent most of the day yesterday making and planting trees.

First snow of the season, so far only a dusting but more is due out east of us.

Now we can work on our RR and dream of the warmer days

Happy Tursday you all, it is cold here and getting colder. I am craving corn bread and chilly.

It is a week until Thanksgiving and then time to decorate out side and set up the trains set for Christmas.

I dont know if I am up to it all as I still have bronkitus and a cold going opn 4 weeks now.

I found this site and pic about W Va mining. I hope you all like it.

The cold hit us in St. Louis too. I should have started putting the plastic film on my windows while the Indian summer was raging, but I didn't, so now I'm doing about 2 windows a night. I've got four down, which leaves two important ones for tonight. Fortunately I have a couple of modern windows that do a good job of keeping out the cold and don't really need it. The film isn't cheap when you buy it in season, but it's a lot cheaper than higher gas bills.

I need to load up on the stuff come springtime.

Yesterday we pick up about 5" of the lovely stuff and areas just east of us pick up to 10 to 12" of it. It tis the season. :D

So last night we were out cleaning our driveway and also our neighbors.

OTTS meeting to night, what a great way to end the week, running and talking trains.

Chief and spankybird, got just what you need...

Let me preface this by saying this is a generic post written for several forums not the least of which is my own.
    and shared here.

I received the 2006 Woodland Scenics catalog today and was moved to add them to my own forum in the section for tackle and toy train resources as well as write a bit about them.

God love those guys at the local hobby shops and I do like to spend my money their, ... but.. they never seem to have what I want which sends me to ebay or to google up something I need and try to get my local guy to order it or as in this case, buy it direct form the manufacturer.

I emailed Wood Land Scenics about some track figures in O ga., and the emailed back that they would send me their catalog. It came in tow days exactly.

I was amazed to the number and diversity of products they had. I did not know they carried a quarter of the things they offer.

I recommend getting a catalog also.

From people to cars to buildings, the products are varied and of high quality. They are famous mostly, I thought, for thier landscaping products.

I spoke to someone there today at length and found them very personable and accommodating.

There fore, I think they rate a hearty "well done" and the publishing of their web page.

Chief and sanky Bird, you both need these guys, it must be Barney Fife...

    Hi Gil,

Great job on the Coaling tower. Looks great:thumb:

This MTH engine started life as a PA RR. I change the covers on the tender with an old Lionel C-O tender. I paid $150.00 for it and it is PS2 (with full DCS Command). You can't buy the upgrade kit for that price.
