Colonial Viper - uhu02

Hello,

This is my first build thread. I finally started to build the uhu02 Colonial Viper model.
It's a model with very small pieces, and i'm still finding the best way to cut and fold such pieces. I know that the ink in a model printed in a laser printer tend to break, but for now it's the only one i have.

So... some pictures

i built uhu02's x-wing..best thing i can say is take your time. if you make a mistake, dont worry..i use all kinds of things to help me build mine. nails, tooth picks, heavy gauge wire, pens, drill bits, wooden dowels of all sizes. the list goes on. you never know what you might find to help you do things. have fun and enjoy your build..will be watching .:):)

Agree!!

When I built my Discovery, I used all sorts of things to help shape and/or glue parts. Even a lava lamp!
My kitchen was and still is, the biggest contributor of modelling aids, so far ........ :)

Thank you all :)

By now the only frustration it's the bad quality of the print, especially dealing with very small pieces :(.
If i had a good printer at home, it woold helpful print the diferent pieces in diferent paper thickness.

With time, my toolbox it's growing with all kind of tools too. :animated:

You work with what you have. You skill is self evident. In time, your tools will compliment your skills, and they will be in good hands. ;)

Nice start keep it up!:Drinks: UHU02 always makes the best models with the most details. :)

I usually use a laser printer for my models as well. The toner breakage can be a hassle, but using fine tip markers and pencils (for gray areas) are quite useful for eliminating the rough white areas.:)

Nice build. All looks clean and geometry is nice. Do not be affraid of laser print. It may not be the best or easiest to work with but you can get away nicely with that. At leas I did:)
