Frakkin Awesome, you rock.
I could see this being integrated into a really cool assault staging diorama, along with a couple of Vipers or TFs (or both), and a shuttle.
TF cockpit, landing gear AND a landram designed in 1:18? Revell-Fan you are beyond awesome! The lamdram is on my build list, and yes, I have already started to rescale, but now,
Ohhh yes! (in 1:18, viper??)
If you want the MK-1 Viper (and a few other TOS BSG models), take a look at this website: http://jleslie48.com/gallery_models_scifi.html.
Hmm... a 1:18 Viper? ... I still have to get a 1:32 Viper kit ready (a new one with correct proportions and more detail than jleslie's). Then we might talk about that! But what do you think about the attachment??? (Just made a quick sketch to see how it looks like; imagine B.A. crashing through a gate or wall with this thing; "B.A.'s barricade buster"!)
I like the paint scheme. BLACK OPS?
I take it Starbuck (AKA Face) recruited The A-Team?
I do have to say that Caine can not hold a candle to Hannable when it comes to tactics.
"(with cigar in mouth"and a BIG CHEESY GRIN) I love it when a plan comes together
Murdock flying a Viper? That would be SCARY indeed.
BA: "I pity the Cylon fool!"
All joking aside, It realy does look GOOD.
That's exactly what I had in mind yesterday evening, pal! :thumb:
So Starbuck finally returned and brought along help, FANTASTIC!!!sign1
(Sorry for the Galactica 1980 pun)
"I love it when a plan comes together!" nice coloring! It needs a wing on the back.
Rhaven Blaack, Thank you, I've seen, and downloaded the jleslie viper, there are some concerns I have with rescaling it larger...
The land ram was based on a Thiokol Imp (I believe) and the LiS chariot was based on the Thiokol Spryte, a very, very simpler platform. Sooo, by building the tread set and center then a chariot structure?? things that make ya say hummmmm.
I too have that Viper in my collection. I just have not built it yet though.
I was not too curtain if you did not not, but that one was the only one that I knew of that was half way accurate.
I am in love!! That is one bad ass looking tank! You rule!
That's true. Unfortunately the jleslie Landram is not very accurate either. This was the primary reason why I've decided to make a new Ram. I have started building the old Ram (but never finished it because of the flaws) an will post some side-by-side pics when the new one is ready. (Don't wanna spoil anything, but a new accurate TOS Viper is on my todo list!)
Revell-Fan, It is like you are reading my mind! Cockpit and landing gear for the Thunderfighter, a rumor of Crichton, an awesome Landram, AND AN ACCURATE TOS VIPER! My head is reeling in delight There is a young boy, in 1979 land that is thinking that Starbuck could have taken the Death Star, if only the Viper wasn't made for a 2" warrior!
On another note, I was checking out the 1:18 A-Team van and the color above the red stripe is a dark grey
TEASE!! TEASE!! You are guilty of TEASING US!! Can't wait!!
REALLY???? I always thought it was BLACK..! Is it possible that there are two paint schemes???
Here are some progress pics of the Ram. The engine block sits too low and will become a bit higher. The tracks consist of four different layers of paper laminated together.
The center part of the windshield. The kit has MANY TINY flaps and if you are afraid of these - stay away from it ;-) !
And this is how it looks at the moment. Since the turret is not ready yet I have attached a closed gunner station. BTW, this is one of the variants you'll be able to build, the unarmed Tramram (used for transportation only).
And, as promised, some comparison shots of the my Ram and jleslie's. You can clearly see the differences in proportions and detail. I hope to get the turret done this weekend. So stay tuned!
