I'm starting to detail an old model I had on the orphan shelf. I want to use a cinder block base for the small factory made of brick and clapboard.

Question: Were (gray, flat-faced) cinder blocks commonly used in the United States as early as the 1920's??

    Thanks for your responses.

    Thanks Marc:

I checked out the Masonary site.

I also looked over your site: Terrapin.... incredible weathering and paint work. I've bookmarked it for future reference. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
