Check out the video on Chance Morgan's CP Huntington replicas.
The company is based in Wichita, KS which is about 3 hours from me.
It's really tempting to drive down there some weekend and check them out.

But then I'd want to buy one and the wife would divorce me...... :(

At the current real estate prices here in So Cal, if I could afford to buy enough property to build a railroad to run that train, buying the train would be no problem I suspect that 5 acres would probably cost somewhere around $4-5 million.

You should come to the Midwest.
    Land is much cheaper here.
And I could run the train for you. :D

Where can I live in the Midwest that NEVER gets snow? If I want snow, I take a two hour drive into the mountains, otherwise I'm more of a beach person!

Probably the wrong question to ask today.
We just got about 6 inches this afternoon. :D

As I can't afford a brass engine, these are WAY out of my price range. But, does anyone know how much one of these would cost?

    It would be fun though.

I'm guessing at least a couple hundred thousand or so.
