Magnificent! The first picture in your last post is particularly beautiful. The birds-eye views are also striking. As you have said, in some of the pictures one can feel the massive weight of the structure, a tribute indeed to both the designer and the builder.

Thanks once again for sharing your talent with us.

    regards,

    Elliott

Your model came out fantastic ! I'm working on the same cathedral right now. I discovered early that the large side aisles needed quite a bit of supports - doubled up under all the buttresses -just to shore things up a bit.
Question: did you paint/dye your cut edges? if so, great job ! What do you usually use to cut down the glaring white edge cuts.
    Again, great work !!

Wow! This model turned out very nice. All those tiny statues and pillars must have been time consuming.

NorCal, I use various shades of watercolors on my edges. You can go fancy at the art supply but an inexpensive color set from the grocery store will do almost as well. Red and green make brown, etc. Apply the color carefully after assembly and try not to get glue on the edge so the color will soak into the paper. Thin the color and if it's too light add a little more pigment. You can always go darker but not the other way.
