Just wondering what everyone uses to control what cars go to which industries on layouts? I'm trying to figure out a good system to use. Any ideas?

    Hi Mike,

Here's a link to a guy I know who developed an operating system over time. He explains briefly how he progressed from "dot-forwarding" to car cards and waybills:

Look for the links on "Easy Operating" and "Car Cards"

    Hope that helps.

Home grown computer program that generated switch and staging lists.
In my jaundiced view of the world, the switch list is my set of waybills.

I'm willing to share my program, but be forewarned that it's not yet a Windoze application.

I have a couple of Car-Cards and Waybill (given to me by the Edm RR Association)
I'm planning to use it as a template.

I'm also curious about the computer generate software
