    Hello all.
I'm relatively new here, but already I can see many people know way more than I do about paper modeling.

I layed out my first model in Illustrator 9 and colored it with Photoshop 7. It convinced me I need a CAD program, but I'm on a super tight budget (read, "if it ain't free, I can't get it.")

Can anyone reccommend a good user-friendly (or at least user-amiable) CAD program?

Hi Kjev. Have a look through some of the freeware sites you will find something. :)

A9Tech Inc. looks OK. There are dozens of free 2D cad programs about, just be careful from where (z) you download them!! If it is from the publishers home page you will probably be OK.

    2D versus 3D

I was thinking more of 3D, since I'll be using it to design more card models.
    The list-to-be-done includes:

    Stargate Deathglider
    Stargate Ringfighter (modifed Deathglider)
    V fighter
    V shuttle
    V tanker
    Starcraft Goliath
    Lung Wang (Battletech Dropship)
    Leopard CV (Battletech Dropship)

    Thanks
