Here is a bash from a Bachmann HO 2-8-0 that I did. For the most part, just the drive train was used. Made the boiler and tender, and used PSC detail parts for everything else. It was a project, but one I am glad I did.

Gotta jog my memory as it was about 5 years ago when I did this but for the most part it is just a piece of PVC for the boiler, PSC detail parts and a Grandt Line Cab.....(thinking back I should have used a PSC Cab). The tender itself is just styrene shapped and rivet detail added to it. The drive tain is a Bachmann HO 2-8-0 without any modifications to allow the fit of the boiler. Had to make a small sub-frame for the cab and if memry serves correct it was about a three evening project.
